Award-winning films “Reclamation” and “Synesthesia” will be screened on July 19th and 21st in San Diego as part of the Comic-Con International Independent Film Festival (CCI-IFF) 2018.
“Reclamation,” an 18-minute film, is a sci-fi web series pilot set in 2151. The story features a young woman’s epic adventure to reunite her family torn apart by the corporation the runs most of the world and solar system. “Reclamation” is in the Sci-Fi/Fantasy block on July 19th starting at 3:15 pm, and screens at 5:20 pm.
“Synesthesia,” a 12-minute short, is the harrowing story of a woman driven to the brink by her obsession with her smartphone, resulting in deadly consequences. It is in the Horror/Suspense block that starts on Saturday, July 21st at 8.40 pm. “Synesthesia” screens Sunday just after midnight which is actually the 22nd, at 12:05 am. Both films will screen in the Grand Ballroom 3 & 4 of the San Diego Marriott Marquis adjacent to the convention center. Both will be followed by Q&A sessions.
Loveman, of Los Angeles began producing short films, music videos and other projects in 2003. He then began writing his own TV pilots, one of which was a finalist in the Beverly Hills Screenwriting Contest in 2012.
“My aim is to have these films serve as a launching pad for a series, or longer feature film. Being tapped by Comic-Con is a true honor,” said Loveman.
